Wooden letters take over Tacoma.

Once you’re over the fact you can spell rude words I think this playful public display would be a lot of fun.

Oldie but a goodie. How do we make more people use the stairs? Turn them into a giant piano! Shows how influential a bit of playful interaction injected into your day can be.

Added bonus: for some epic floor piano, see this youtube video here

Waldo escapes.

My little brother recently purchased a Where’s Waldo costume off ebay.

Combine that with a day out at the Brisbane French Festival and you turn the day into a very playful event. It was great to see the costume make some people smile, some people run up for photos and a lot of people yelling “I found him!” The costume is so simple, but because he’s so universally recognisable it means nearly everyone can join in.

So could this be turned into a city-wide game? Lo and behold after some Google searching I stumbled across Where’s Waldo in the Windy City. As well as a real life Waldo game from Improv in Toronto. The second one looks more like a Where’s Waldo themed scavenger hunt and I love the way that it looks like you have to find Waldo in a picture before getting the next clue.

So Brisbane, where’s Waldo?

Using the Bump API, Paypal gives us an alternative and playful way to pay for something. Check out the hilarious, David Attenborough inspired video showing us the process.

Time to start hitting up friends for fake loans from the past.
